The Role: Data Analyst

We need an expert Data Analyst to maintain the integrity, security and quality of our data. Ensure the usage is monitored and controlled whilst delivering results. Youre motivated, driven to achieve and able to work autonomously. Construct, profile and audit our data quality. Support the vital development and maintenance of metadata. Create detailed reports and provide solutions to monitor key data governance principles; in terms of data security, integrity and usage.

Your Role:

• Working with business teams to understand their business needs for change, cleansing and filtering of information provided in to a clear and manageable picture.

• Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
• Profiling and auditing data quality, analysing patterns recognising key trends and ensuring data quality standards.
• Setting up processes and systems to make working with data more efficient.
• Maintaining accurate information within our system and on industry level regarding electricity and gas consumption
• Maintain an effective working relationship with project and support teams appreciating their delivery pressures and adopting suitable approaches to resolve any issues.

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• We are looking for people who enjoy their role, who are personable and like to enjoy their time at work!
• Educated to degree standard or equivalent with experience of the Excel, SQL, TSQL, and Power BI would be perfect but not essential
• Excellent data analysis and profiling skills with a detailed knowledge of design and integration principles, for complex, heterogeneous databases, data transportation and modelling.
• Experience with a relevant data quality / profiling tool would be advantageous.
• Industry knowledge of Utilities, ideally energy is essential
• Excellent communicator with strong relationship management. Effective social skills, lead working groups, negotiate and build consensus.
• Confident translating complex technical terminology, concepts and issues to any audience.
• Ability to lead research and triage of complex problems, tactical and strategic solutions with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

• Must have a desire to learn, self-reflect and improve
• Ability to collect, organise and interpret complex data
• Accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Commercially astute with the ability to develop and understand issues
• Eligible to work in the UK
